What was the “aha” moment that sparked your idea?
My “aha” moment came as AI-generated media and manipulation became impossible to ignore. With a background at the intersection of finance and technology, I had already been following blockchain as a way to prove digital provenance. When NFTs emerged, I saw past the speculation and focused on the real utility: verifiable authenticity, digital ownership, and provenance.
What is your background?
I'm a qualified accountant and data strategist. I’ve spent over a decade helping companies across Europe, from global tech firms to manufacturers, translate data into decisions. Along the way, I’ve led large-scale system transformations, built enterprise dashboards, and driven performance improvements at scale.
Tell us a bit about your solution
Trueshot is a mobile app that captures photos and videos with built-in proof of authenticity. Every moment is sealed on-chain with time, date, and metadata, making it verifiably real and impossible to fake. It turns digital media into trusted records that carry provenance, ownership, and value.
It’s live now on iOS, with Android coming soon, and is already being integrated into new social platforms that enable micropayments and creator monetization.
What first impression do you want users to have when they experience/use your product?
When someone first uses Trueshot, I want the penny to drop that this isn’t just another camera app. It’s about capturing truth and owning what you create. In a world where photos and videos can be faked or copied in seconds, Trueshot makes authenticity and ownership obvious and valuable. The first impression should be that the truth matters.. and now, it can be proven and owned.
Where do you hope to be in five years?
In five years, I want Trueshot to be recognized as a trusted source of media.. a standard for proving what’s real online. The bigger goal isn’t just building an app, it’s helping to restore trust in digital media at a time when AI manipulation is everywhere and people are confused and don’t know what to believe.
By making authenticity and ownership simple, accessible, and valuable, I believe Trueshot can play a role in rebuilding that trust.. giving individuals confidence in what they see and creating new ways for creators to own and monetize their content.
What’s the best piece of feedback you’ve received so far?
Progress often looks invisible or slow at first. Consistency feels pointless until it suddenly isn’t. The results compound, and what once felt small becomes exponential.. so the key is to keep going, even when it looks like nothing is happening.
