INVENT 2025 Semi-Finalists

After an exciting qualifying round where participants pitched their innovations to a panel of expert judges, we’re excited to share the startups who are advancing to the INVENT Semi-Finals!

Organised by Catalyst with headline partner Bank of Ireland, INVENT celebrates our most exciting entrepreneurs, giving them an international platform and support to make the greatest impact.

The 2025 semi-finalists are:

Creative Leisure

  • Benchmark Sports Technology Limited: Benchmark Sports is revolutionising sports coaching through software tools that help coaches save time and create more effective training sessions.

  • PlayOn: The all-in-one platform that maximises the revenue of sports facilities by maximising player game time, making empty facilities a distant memory.

  • ARC: An AR Diving Companion created with the users safety at the heart of the product. It offers a real time overlay of important dive metrics as well as highlighting key information on the environment around them. This is done through the implementation of AR technology into diving masks.

  • BikeMesh: BikeMesh.co.uk offers a non-removable, self-charging bike tracker that provides real-time location and advanced health metrics to reduce bike theft and promote cyclist health. The device supports smart city goals, is easy to fit, never needs recharging, and collects valuable fitness and security data

BioBreakthroughs

  • ParkinSense: A mobile application using machine learning to help clinicians detect Parkinson's earlier, faster and more accurately.

  • Antigenesis Biologics: Creating cancer medicines for companion animals - our pet dogs and cats.

  • MemoryTell: A platform that records and analyses a person’s speech using advanced AI to detect and track cognitive changes, providing a faster, non-invasive, and equally accurate alternative to traditional assessments with real-time data output - offering a dignified experience with earlier dementia detection and objective monitoring.

  • AmnisAI: A computer vision system that stops pharmacy dispensing errors by verifying prescriptions in real-time, seamlessly boosting patient safety and operational efficiency.

Living Well

  • Blindspot: Blindspot is an innovative tanning applicator promoting independent tanning and supporting those with restriction of upper body movement.

  • Trnches: Trnches is a love letter to women carrying the invisible load - a soulful AI sidekick that tracks moods, burnout, and mental load, then gently hands back your power. Think: emotional infrastructure meets feminine magic. For every woman who’s ever said “I’m fine” when she wasn’t - this is for you.

  • Equilyze: Equilyze’s Smart Numnah is a smart saddle pad that gives real-time feedback on rider posture to correct asymmetry and improve horse wellbeing. Using discreet pressure sensors and a connected app, it helps riders train more effectively, stay balanced, and ride in harmony, without bulky wearables or constant trainer supervision.

  • Mude Clothing: Mude is changing the way adaptive clothing is designed and worn. With a fresh take on fashion’s foundations, we create stylish, discreet garments that empower people who use medical devices like insulin pumps and stoma bags, to feel confident, comfortable, and in control of how they dress.

Future Business

  • Oculus Ireland Ltd.: Our security solution combines retina scanning and AI-powered Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure fast, secure access. Biometric verification ensures only authorised users gain entry, while AI dynamically adjusts permissions based on roles. Ideal for sensitive sectors like finance and healthcare, it simplifies authentication while maximising protection and efficiency.

  • NuPitch Ltd: A SaaS platform that automates and streamlines compliance, eligibility, and claims for film and TV production incentives, making media financing faster, fairer, and borderless for producers and creative companies worldwide.

  • Vibrotect: At Vibrotect, we've created a wearable vibration monitoring system that protects workers from irreversible conditions, like Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome, that are caused by prolonged exposure to vibrations from power tools and machinery. Our system ensures compliance with Regulations and peace of mind that your employees are safe.

  • PharmaAide: NiPharma Tech's PharmaAide has developed a first-of-its-kind AI-powered handheld device and software system that automates 80% of pharmacy workflows, reducing medication errors by 98% and saving over £1,000 per pharmacy monthly, making high-grade automation affordable and accessible for independent pharmacies worldwide.

Green Horizons

  • RegeN Technologies Ltd.: We have developed a novel catalyst and reactor technology that enables the direct, single-step conversion of CO₂ into clean fuels such as methanol, DME, and LPG. Our innovation delivers multi-fold productivity gains, reduced energy use, and high selectivity, offering a scalable solution for carbon capture and utilisation.

  • Aquasol: Our technology empowers anyone to test their water for bacterial contamination and get quantifiable results anywhere in the world. And this is just the beginning. We’re at the start of an exciting journey, with ambitious plans to expand into new and transformative water technologies.

  • FerraVolt: Safe, sustainable energy storage using all-aqueous, all-iron flow batteries, manufacturable using local supply chains.

  • ProcProof: ProcProof augments net-zero traceable and auditable procurement with Agentic AI. We specialise in assisting companies in their transition to net-zero capabilities. Our approach harnesses innovative technologies and explicit trust-powered traceability to ensure a sustainable and eco-friendly future.

  • Percy & Pop: Percy & Pop creates plastic-free solid shampoo and conditioner bars for babies and children. Made with gentle, coconut-derived surfactants and no sulphates or water, each 70g bar replaces two plastic bottles. Brightly coloured and shaped for little hands, they encourage independence, reduce waste, and make bath-time greener and hassle-free.

Uncharted Ideas

  • Calara Ltd: Swishroll is a game-changing portable cleaner that removes dirt, germs, and harmful pathogens from pram wheels in seconds. Compact and hassle-free, it disinfects as it cleans - keeping homes, cars, and indoor spaces cleaner and safer. Designed for families on the go, Swishroll brings hygiene and convenience together, effortlessly.

  • Homesparency Limited: Homesparency is a buyer-led web application that makes the journey involved in buying and selling property easier and more transparent. It centralises communication and gives all parties real-time updates making the process faster and less stressful.

  • Trueshot: Trueshot is a mobile app that proves photos and videos are real at the moment of capture. Each image or video is verified and recorded on the blockchain as an NFT, providing tamper-proof authenticity for journalism, evidence, and content creation in the AI era. 

  • AllPetz: We help pet owners to prepare for the veterinary expenses for their pet in an innovative, simple and transparent way, as an alternative or in addition to pet insurance.

Congratulations to all the semi-finalists! The next stage will require them to pitch once more to earn a highly sought-after spot in the INVENT 2025 finals. Winners will be recognised at the INVENT Awards 2025 at the ICC Belfast, which will honour the most outstanding innovations across different categories, including the overall winner and elevator pitch winner.
